![]() If you're one of those people (like many on this sub) who think the G502 is too heavy, the G604 certainly isn't the mouse for you. The only really difference here is that both are heavier than the cheap office mouse I was using before and the G604 is noticeably heavier than the G502. When testing them I could leave both connected and freely switch between them. "Feel" wise in terms of the sensor/gameplay/in applications, they have the same sensor so it is no surprise they feel basically the same when set to the same DPI and poll rate. The actual function of the infinite scroll is everything I imagined it would be, I'm never switching back to a mouse without it. I'd be hard pressed to pick but if I had to I'd say I kind of prefer the G604 wheel. The general consensus on this sub seems to be that the G604 wheel (same as the wired G502) is worse than the G502 Lightspeed personally I disagree. The scroll wheel is slightly different between the two even though they both have the ratchet and free scroll modes with the button to switch the G604's wheel is metal and the G502's has a rubber coating and feels a bit "more ratcheted" when in that mode if that makes any sense. The G502's "sniper" button on the other hand is very easy for me to hit by accident and I do it all the time. Although I definitely don't *need* that many, they are very nice and don't get in the way it's hard to accidentally click them. ![]() I was worried the many extra buttons of the G602 were "too many" and would get in the way I was wrong. Personally, I prefer the AA if I don't get the dreaded double click (or get it and fix it via soldering iron) not having to rip the thing apart again to replace a dying lithum-ion battery is nice. The G502 has an integrated battery and so it comes with a cord to hook up when it dies the G604 uses a AA and thus has no cord. Similar price point, similar features, similar packaging, although slightly fancier on the G502 with the extra weights (who uses these?). That left the G604 and G502.įirst impressions: both are very similar. The G903 cost more than the G604/G502 and I didn't see the point in an ambidextrous mouse since, despite being left handed, I always use my right hand for the mouse. The Razer Pro Click Mini might have worked in theory, but looking at it it was obviously it was WAY too small for my hands/grip style as a daily driver. Although gaming is really a secondary concern over comfort and features for me, I did want something that didn't totally suck at it, so that excluded Master/Anywhere. As far as I can tell, just the MX Master/Anywhere line of Logitech mice, the G502, G604, and G903, and the Razer Pro Click Mini. In addition, my hands are large, grip is usually a mix of palm and claw, and use case is about 80% productivity (data work, coding, office tools) and about 20% causal gaming (typically single player, non-competitive).įirst off, there are very, very few mice that actually have both of these things. After a few days of switching between the two and probably at least a dozen or so hours on each, here are my thought on the differences and pros and cons of these two mice.įor context, my primary criteria were hyperscroll and wireless. ![]() If you wish to be added to the sidebar, please provide the mods with proof of connection with your company through mod mail.īe sure to check out our sister peripheral/input subreddits:Īfter recently asking this sub in this thread for mouse suggestions including both wireless capability and hyper/infinite scroll, I ultimately decided to order both a G604 and a G502 lightspeed open box to try out for a few days and pick one to keep, one to return.
